Owner/Operator Teagan Gaeta has been around horses her entire life. Growing up on Langwater Farm in Alfred, Maine Teagan was exposed to long summer hours in the hay fields, cows, chickens, caring for her Clydesdales and riding her Quarter Horses around the property and competing locally. Since Langwater Farm opened its doors in Georgetown in 2022, she has worked hard to develop a community that operates much like a family, sharing a passion for horses and also serving as a place of friendship and learning.
Growing up on the Northshore, Teagan was an avid horse-shower and a dedicated member of the local 4H. Countless hours were spent grooming, attending local clinics, working in the barn and at local events like the Topsfield Fair.
Teagan began teaching in 2012 at the University of Connecticut where she was also Captain of the UConn Dressage Team. She lead her team to several huge victories, including several Region Championships as well as being named 2014 Captain of the Year Nationally. Working as the interim instructor in 2014, she oversaw a heard of 90 horses and coached her student and team-member to a National Championship.
In addition to teaching her students the fundamentals of the horse world, Teagan also specializes in the training the variety of horses that come to the facility.
The program at Langwater Farm builds horsemen and horsewomen, not just riders.
We look forward to watching this special community grow.
